TNPSC Group 4 Exam Pattern 2023




The TNPSC Group 4 exam consists of a single paper with 200 objective type questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and the maximum marks are 300. The exam is conducted in both Tamil and English languages. The candidates have to choose either General Tamil or General English as their scoring subject. The exam pattern is as follows:

The candidates have to score at least 90 marks out of 300 to qualify for the next stage of selection. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written exam.


General Tamil or General English (Part-A)




This section tests the candidates' knowledge of grammar, literature, authors, books, etc. in either Tamil or English language. The candidates have to choose one of these subjects as their scoring subject. The syllabus for both subjects is given below:
