Summit Fever (2022)

Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Thorp star in the adrenaline-fueled thrill-ride where an ambitious mountain expedition in France becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival. A daring dream to scale the world's most challenging trio of mountains soon turns into a terrifying nightmare for a group of friends when a deadly storm traps the climbers near the summit and cuts off all hope of rescue. With the odds stacked against them, the friends are forced to trust each other to save themselves using any means necessary. Summit Fever is written & directed by British filmmaker Julian Gilbey, director of the movies Reckoning Day, Rollin' with the Nines, Rise of the Footsoldier, A Lonely Place to Die, and Plastic previously. Produced by Marc Goldberg, Tiernan Hanby, and Andrew Loveday. Saban Films will debut Summit Fever in select US theaters + on VOD starting October 14th, 2022 coming soon this fall. Anyone interested in wwatching?

Summit Fever (2022)

Admittedly, the high stakes action and suspense that takes place during this final attempt at summiting is moderately fun, if not also a little bit depressing. Viewers will realize relatively quickly that the mountain does not care if the group lives or dies which feels like a pretty apt thing for a mountain to feel because you know, nature and Jack London and all of that stuff. However, what is problematic is that it takes over an hour for any of the really exciting parts of the film to happen so that by the time everyone is starting to suffer from third man syndrome, you may have already fallen asleep just like the hypothermic actors on screen.

Synopsis: A group of skilled climbers go on an expedition to Switzerland in an attempt to scale a trio of challenging mountains. But when a storm rolls in and one of the climbers gets injured, they will be stranded near the summit with only their sheer will and each other to rely on for survival.

By Mike Murphy Get ready for Mel Brooks' 'History of the World Part 2,' the Oscars, Kerry Washington's 'UnPrisoned' and much more Hulu has a fairly stacked lineup in March 2023, including a sequel more than 40 years in the making and the Oscars -- albeit a day later. "History of the World, Part 2" (March 6) drops as an eight-episode, four-night event, with each episode featuring comedic vignettes from different points in human history. It's the follow up to Mel Brooks' 1981 movie "History of the World, Part I," and the 96-year-old Brooks will appear in the series, along with Wanda Sykes, Nick Kroll, Ike Barinholtz, Pamela Adlon, Zazie Beetz, Jillian Bell, Quinta Brunson, Taika Waititi, Reggie Watts, Kumail Nanjiani and many, many more. The Disney (DIS)-controlled streaming service also has the Oscar-nominated dark comedy "Triangle of Sadness" (March 3), from Swedish director Ruben Östlund; "UnPrisoned" (March 10), a family comedy starring Kerry Washington and Delroy Lindo; "Boston Strangler" (March 17), a movie about the first reporter to break the story of the notorious 1960s serial killer, starring Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon; "FX's Great Expectations" (March 26), a limited-series adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic, starring Fionn Whitehead and Olivia Colman; "Up Here" (March 24), a musical rom-com series starring Mae Whitman and Carlos Valdes; "RapCaviar Presents" (March 30), a docuseries based on the popular Spotify playlist; and "Rye Lane" (March 31), a London-set rom-com starring Vivian Oparah and David Jonsson.
